Orc Affliction Warlock — WoW Forever
Orc Warlock combines damage-over-time casting, demon control and racial offense or curse protection. Choose the race for its Horde identity and combat utility, not an unverified claim of highest damage.
Orc racial abilities relevant to Affliction
- Blood Fury — offensive cooldown (check current tooltip and scaling)
- Shatter Curse — situational curse removal and magical protection
- Axe Specialization — weapon-specific bonus, generally low relevance to Affliction casting
Blood Fury offers a timed offensive window and can be coordinated with planned damage spells. Shatter Curse provides situational protection against curses and magical damage. Axe-related racial bonuses are not a primary argument for choosing Orc on a caster.
Leveling with Orc Affliction Warlock
During questing, DoT uptime, demon threat and mana-to-health conversion usually matter more than one short cooldown. Save a racial burst window for dangerous enemies rather than spending it on a low-health target. Confirm whether the latest Blood Fury tooltip affects the damage spells you are currently using.
What changes in PvP?
Plan Blood Fury around pressure and keep Shatter Curse available when facing curse-heavy opponents. Avoid assuming the racial is a universal escape from stuns, roots or fear.
Orc versus Undead for Affliction
Compared with Undead, Orc offers a more clearly offensive racial package and curse interaction; Undead instead brings fear/charm/sleep removal and corpse-based recovery. Pick based on the content and enemy abilities you expect rather than a claimed universal ranking.
Source and data status
Racial behavior is based on the site's September pre-release reference dataset; exact numbers, cooldowns, spells and racial interactions need to be rechecked against the November launch build. No unverified performance ranking is presented.
