Undead Affliction Warlock — WoW Forever
Undead Warlock emphasizes control, survivability and recovery. Affliction already relies on steady damage and health or mana sustain, making defensive racial options attractive to players who prefer attrition.
Undead racial abilities relevant to Affliction
- Will of the Forsaken — removes selected fear, charm and sleep effects
- Cannibalize — conditional recovery while channeling by a suitable corpse
- Underwater Breathing — exploration utility
Will of the Forsaken is an answer to selected crowd-control effects including fear, charm and sleep; its exact behavior should be checked against the launch client. Cannibalize offers recovery from suitable corpses, subject to channeling limitations. Extended underwater breathing is useful utility rather than a direct damage increase.
Leveling with Undead Affliction Warlock
An Affliction Warlock can plan long quest loops around DoTs, pet management and recovery. Cannibalize may reduce downtime when humanoid or undead corpses are available, but it does not work on every enemy and can be interrupted by moving or taking damage.
What changes in PvP?
Will of the Forsaken is particularly relevant to encounters where fear or charm limits your actions. It is not a generic answer to every crowd-control category. Preserve movement and defensive tools for other threats.
Undead versus Orc for Affliction
Compared with Orc, Undead trades the more obviously offensive Blood Fury option for control removal and conditional out-of-combat recovery. Neither race has a launch-verified universal Affliction PvE or PvP ranking on this site.
Source and data status
Racial behavior is based on the site's September pre-release reference dataset; exact numbers, cooldowns, spells and racial interactions need to be rechecked against the November launch build. No unverified performance ranking is presented.
