Forever gives Priests race-specific spell quests at levels 10 and 20. These are meaningful character decisions because two Priests of different races may bring different utility even when their main specialization is similar.
Beta scope: These are Forever-specific rules and examples available by October 16, 2026. Exact damage values and availability may change with later builds. This is not a Retail or Season of Discovery guide.
What changed in Forever
The cited Forever Priest guide lists level-10 quests such as Divine Grace for Humans, Desperate Prayer for Dwarves, Returning Home for Night Elves, Confounding Flash for Gnomes, Touch of Weakness for Undead and Hex of Weakness for Trolls. These are quest titles, not a promise that all racial spells share the same effect.
Apply it during normal play
At level 20, additional examples include Arcane Feedback, Chastise, Elune's Grace, Contingency Plan, Dark Sacrifice and Shadowguard by race. Do not pick a race based solely on a screenshot of a spell that you cannot actually unlock. Confirm the trainer's current quest and inspect the learned spell before claiming it has a particular PvP cooldown or mana cost.
Important restrictions and mistakes
For a new character, plan a short visit to the trainer around each milestone. Combining that journey with a nearby dungeon or profession trainer visit can reduce wasted travel. Keep a note of your race's prerequisites and do not abandon an earlier quest simply because a higher-level skill appears in someone else's guide.
Build or route testing
For group play, communicate which utility spells you actually have. A group leader assuming that every Priest brings a Dwarf's emergency spell or a Troll's Shadowguard may design a poor strategy. Once you unlock the spell, test how it interacts with your current talents and available mana.
Quick decision table
| Situation | Check or action |
|---|---|
| Level 10 | first racial quest |
| Level 20 | second racial quest |
| Trainer | inspect your race's chain |
| Group | explain your specific spell |
A reliable test procedure
- Confirm the client build, class level and current talent prerequisites.
- Use the same or similar enemies to compare one change without hidden gear differences.
- Include recovery and travel time instead of counting only burst damage.
- Document uncertain interactions and retest after Blizzard beta notes change them.
