GUIDE

WoW Forever Subtlety Rogue at 30: Hemorrhage and Finishers

Subtlety Rogue changes substantially by level 30 in Forever because Hemorrhage provides a dedicated Combo Point builder and helps connect stealth openers to finishers.

WoW Forever beta note: This guide is based on the Forever client and published October 2026 references. It does not assume Retail or Season of Discovery mechanics without version confirmation.

The core mechanic

Open from Stealth where safe. The current Forever beta overview recommends Garrote, then using Hemorrhage to generate Combo Points. If your opponent is likely to survive, plan when to maintain Slice and Dice. A short-lived enemy may die before you recover value from a long setup.

How to use it during real play

Choose finishers based on what they accomplish. Eviscerate can be useful on targets with lower armor, while Rupture becomes more attractive against durable high-armor targets, particularly given Hemorrhage's reported interaction with Rupture. Do not apply every finisher mechanically; time-to-kill and remaining Combo Points matter.

Mistakes and changing beta behavior

Vanish provides an opportunity to create a second Stealth-based action and can be valuable with Initiative. But using every survival cooldown purely to generate damage creates risk in contested zones. Hold Vanish when another enemy player is likely to interrupt your quest or when your group requires you to escape.

Practical setup and test plan

At level 30 the talent budget is limited. Evaluate opportunities to reach Hemorrhage and whether extra Legacy testing points are actually available. Weapon choice matters: compare a main-hand upgrade and your available weapon skills before attributing every performance difference to talents.

Repeatable beta testing checklist

  1. Check your current level, relevant talent ranks and ability tooltips.
  2. Test your normal gameplay against comparable opponents, not one cherry-picked critical hit.
  3. Record travel, mana, health or combat-resource recovery alongside encounter duration.
  4. Revisit the setup after an official tuning patch and update the build date.

Use the Talent Calculator for available points, the Community Builds section for sharing your setup, and LFG if your experiment requires a party.

FAQ

Does Rupture always beat Eviscerate?

No. Enemy armor, lifetime and your build determine the choice.

Can I rely on an old Classic Subtlety tree?

No; talent locations and new effects differ in Forever.
