WoW Forever First Day Checklist: 12 Things to Prepare

Get your account, character, tools and group ready for the November 4 launch. This guide uses Blizzard's published information available as of October 30, 2026. Where a launch-client detail has not been independently checked, we say so.

What Blizzard has confirmed

The launch is scheduled for November 4 at 23:00 UTC. Blizzard has separately documented early name reservation, updated rulesets and several new leveling dungeons.

Why this matters for your character

Prepare account access, subscription status, client installation, local launch time, name choices, preferred ruleset, faction, class, talent plan, bags and professions, a meeting place, and fallback plans for queues.

What to do before or during launch

Keep the first session simple: start in the same region as friends, meet at a known location, check available quests and level together before optimizing advanced routes.

What is still uncertain?

Do not use beta-only speed rankings or unverified dungeon drop lists as promises for launch.

Useful tools and further reading

Plan your skills with the Talent Calculator, compare shared setups in Community Builds and coordinate with real players through the LFG directory.
