What Blizzard has confirmed
Blizzard announced three raids opening December 9 for level 60 players: Barrow Deeps (10 players, Mount Hyjal), Hyjal Summit (20 players, near Nordrassil) and Onyxia's Lair (40 players, Dustwallow Marsh).
Why this matters for your character
These raid sizes make roster planning especially important. A group ready for a 10-player raid is not automatically staffed for a full 40-player Onyxia run.
What to do before or during launch
Set up a consistent signup process, distinguish main and backup players, review role coverage and begin planning the necessary attunements early.
What is still uncertain?
Do not label untested boss strategies or final loot tables as confirmed just because locations and raid sizes are official.
