Search racial abilities and playable classes across Alliance, Horde and the faction-specific Skyborne variants.
The searchable tool above combines playable class access with racial abilities so you can compare a race before committing to a character. It includes the classic Alliance and Horde races plus both Skyborne faction variants.
Pre-release Wowhead documentation notes that Skyborne can play Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid on both factions. Horde-aligned Windshaper Skyborne can also play Shaman, while Alliance-aligned High Order Skyborne can also play Mage.
| Skyborne variant | Faction | Playable classes highlighted in pre-release references |
|---|---|---|
| High Order Skyborne | Alliance | Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Druid, Mage |
| Windshaper Skyborne | Horde | Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Druid, Shaman |
The matrix below is rendered from the same reviewed beta dataset used by the interactive race browser. Skyborne Mage is Alliance-only and Skyborne Shaman is Horde-only in the current references.

Forever expands class access beyond the original Vanilla combinations. Because the beta can still change, the live tool is driven by reviewed data rather than a permanently hard-coded matrix. Use the search box to check a specific race or class and see the currently loaded combinations.
Alliance. Pre-release references list Walk on Air, Read Ley Line, Wind Blessed and Elemental Insight. High Order Skyborne gain Mage access in addition to the shared Skyborne classes.
Horde. Pre-release references list Walk on Air, Skysight, Wind Blessed and Elemental Insight. Windshaper Skyborne gain Shaman access in addition to the shared Skyborne classes.
Forever also revises some existing racials. Earlier preview reporting includes changes such as Orc Axe Specialization shifting toward Critical Chance, Gnome Expansive Mind affecting maximum resources and updated utility for several older racial abilities. Use the race browser for the current reviewed text rather than assuming every Vanilla racial is unchanged.
