Ruins of Lordaeron: Entering the Early Tirisfal Instance

Last reviewed: October 9, 2026. Ruins of Lordaeron opens an early dungeon option in the ruined capital above the Undercity.

What matters for this topic

Horde players have a straightforward geographic connection, but group composition and quest preparation remain more important than faction convenience. Older Classic map assumptions can mislead.

Before forming a group, compare the expected reward with travel and quest preparation time. If the dungeon has not been fully tested, keep boss strategies explicitly provisional.

Practical steps

Use the following short plan as a starting point, then adjust it for your character, group and the current test build. A good decision should be repeatable and easy to review when the next update changes the rules.

• Collect quests associated with Tirisfal and Undercity.
• Check entrance accessibility before gathering the group.
• Take defensive pulls around dense packs.
• Record actual quest rewards rather than projected drops.

What can go wrong?

Avoid promising an exact boss drop or route if it has not been validated in the current build. After a patch, confirm information in the client instead of reusing a screenshot or price estimate from an earlier test.

Frequently asked question

Is the dungeon worth running repeatedly?

First complete your available quests and compare boss rewards against your equipment. Travel, group wait time and repeat value decide whether another clear makes sense.
